Cheap Burma Hotels are very easy to find, sometimes as low as $10 a night and go up to $450 a night for the Burma Luxury Hotels if you stay at the The Strand. At a lot of places that we went, if you stay for a week or more you can get a reduced rate. For all Burma accommodations it is tricky when you are trying to do a email reservation as the internet is lousy.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the exprience in Burma it is unfortunate for the friendly people of Burma that becuase of the political situation that they are not benefiting from tourism. Myanmar from what we could see was very well manered and understood the needs of self directed western travelers. We wished that we had more time to spend there. We did the traditional route seeing Yangon, Mandalay, Bagon and Insle Lake.

The Winner In iwas a real pleaseue for a cheap Yangon hotel. Someone who lives in Burma told us to check this place out and we were glad that we did. The Winner Inn staff is very friendly and the service is very attentive and gets the job done.
Located with in a long walk of the largerst and most spectacular of the Stuppas. The Winner inn was not in a area of cheap hotels so the resturants and services were better than you would find in the backpacker area. They even had internet that worked OK by Burma standards. Even the taxis drivers knew how to find it.
